Touretteshero: Burnt Out in Biscuit Land – Livestream

The follow up to their smash-hit productions ‘Backstage in Biscuit Land’ and ‘Not I’ by Samuel Beckett Touretteshero’s latest show blends live performance and film, featuring writer, artist, and activist Jess Thom.
All performances will be relaxed, captioned in English, and will have audio description built in. The performance on Wednesday 14th of June will be BSL interpreted. All live elements of the show will be interpreted. The film will not be interpreted but is captioned.
All performances will be livestreamed, so you can either experience the show in person, or online if you would like to (everybody will be sent the live stream link on the day in case you can no longer attend).

About Touretteshero
Founded in 2010, Touretteshero is a disabled-led arts organisation. Using Tourettes syndrome as a catalyst, our mission is to create an inclusive and socially just world for disabled and non-disabled people through our cultural practice.
Micro Commission with Unlimited
As part of this project, Jumped Up Theatre are partnering with arts commissioning body Unlimited. Unlimited commission extraordinary work from disabled artists that will change and challenge the world.
The event will include the premiere of a new piece of work by local artist Jenna Unwin
Jenna is a self-identifying neurodiverse dance and theatre artist based in the rural East of England. She is a trained Contemporary dancer with dyspraxia; a neurotype which affects memory, coordination, cognitive processing and movements.
For this micro-commission, Jenna is exploring identity, isolation, feminism, failure and triumph, through self-reflection and connecting with others. She is interviewing local people about their life experiences that have tested them, changed them and helped form them.
Jenna is creatively telling these stories through movement, text, choreography and film together in a truly dyspraxic fashion. A collection of voices told through one body. An extreme metamorphosis.

Burnt Out In Biscuit Land will be approximately 90 minutes long. This is a live experience blending a live performance, film and conversation.
Age guidance: 14+
The show contains strong language and adult themes.

Livestream
All events will be livestreamed, so you can either experience the show at the venue, or online at home if you would like to.
Everyone who books a ticket will be sent the livestream link, more information below.
You will need to book a ticket by 3pm on your chosen live stream date.
You’ll receive an email by 3pm on the day of your live stream performance which will include:
– A web link which will enable you to watch the live stream of the performance at 7pm via a standard web browser on a laptop or tablet/device with an internet connection.
– Contact details of our technical support in case you have any issues.
A pre-show email will be sent to all bookers for the show, whether they have purchased tickets to see the show at the Key Theatre or online.
This pre-show email will include the link to the live stream. This means that if any booker decides on the day that they would prefer to watch the show online, they will have the link they need to do that and will not need to contact the box office.
