It is 1940 and World War II has been raging for nearly a year. When a police officer goes missing, Pratt returns to Bagshot House to investigate, meeting the new owner, Nancy Allwright. He is soon assisted by Miss Maple and Constable Thomkins and meets land-girl Ginny and Italian gigolo, Enzo. Pratt’s track record at the house is far from impressive and, once again, chaos ensues.
