Peterborough Jazz Club: Nigel Price Organ Trio plus Alex Garnett.

Nigel Price, who has been at the forefront of British jazz for many years, brings one of the most exciting bands in the UK to the Club. The Organ Trio were nominated for the 2021 Parliamentary Jazz Award for ‘Best ensemble’ (they won in 2010) and were winners of the 2016 British Jazz Award for ‘Best Small Group’. Joining the trio tonight will be virtuoso saxophonist, Alex Garnett, a star in his own right, instantly recognised by his dark, husky sound. Also featured is the amazing Ross Stanley playing the classic B3 Hammond organ with Leslie speakers and to complete the quartet is the very exciting young drummer, Joel Barford. The band will be playing selections from their vast back catalogue, with many classic standards and, for sure, this will be a fabulous evening of dynamic, swinging jazz.
