Peterborough Jazz Club: Quentin Collins/Brandon Allen Quartet (QCBA) plays music from the great Blue Note era

This powerhouse quartet has been captivating audiences worldwide, performing at prestigious venues such as the Monterey Jazz Festival (USA), Ducs des Lombards (France), and Ronnie Scott’s Club (UK). The band promises to deliver a high-energy tribute to some of the most iconic artists from the legendary label’s golden era of the 1960s. Expect to hear timeless classics by Art Blakey, Jimmy Smith, Hank Mobley, Joe Henderson, and Herbie Hancock.
QCBA is perhaps best known for their long-standing collaboration with UK soul legend Omar, culminating in the release of Live at Last in 2022.
Brandon Allen, originally from Perth, Western Australia, moved to London in 2000, where he has worked with numerous high-profile artists and ensembles. Recognized as one of the leading saxophonists on the UK jazz scene, he also serves as Professor of Saxophone at the Guildhall School of Music.
Quentin Collins, with over 20 years as a professional, is one of the UK’s premier jazz trumpeters, having performed, toured, and recorded with an impressive array of internationally renowned artists across various genres. Both Collins and Allen have been members of Kyle Eastwood’s band (son of Clint Eastwood) for more than a decade and continue to tour internationally.
QCBA is further strengthened by the powerhouse rhythm section of Hammond organ maestro Ross Stanley and the exceptional drummer Ian Thomas. Together, they will exhilarate and enthrall in equal measure.
